War on Divorce

 

My parents just got divorced. Some tips on how to cheer up please!?

my parents always fight and they finally got a divorce. I'm not happy about it though, it's just that I don't have to hear any yelling any more! And it is also good because my dad almost killed my mom. I am sooo depressed. Please help me.

  1. The first thing you should do is set yourself up with a counselor, maybe at school, maybe at church, whatever. Someone to talk to. Being upset over a divorce, having mixed feelings of relief and anger and regret... all very normal. Just ride the waves, and when you start to get depressed go for a long fast walk, or call a girlfriend and go out for a soda or something.
  2. ok first of all you need to go and see a councilor........ at church...or school.........whatever........second....... all of these feelings are normal...........you just have to think of all of the happy times..........and think of this........you dont' have to listen to you parents yelling anymore.......... and if you get to depressed.......go and see a girlfriend........call her.........or just get out of the house..........and go somewhere where you can remember happy thoughts.........just don't forget that when you do start to get depressed that you should NEVER..........be alone...........

Well babes, first thign is first (hug), your mum and dad have done the best thing, its just so hard to try and live togther when you dont get along, believe me, this is actually a good thing, you will get to spend real time with our parents now, time that is just for you and has no fighting involved. I know you are upset just now, and i am sure that your mum and dad are both really sad too, its the end of a big chapter in their life, im sure so long as you keep talking about things with them, you will all get through and hopefuly have a healthier relationship at the end.
