War on Divorce
has anyone else seen the article on yahoo called "video game causes divorce"?
they are blaming world of warcraft for causing a rise in the divorce rate! when will society learn to stop blaming video games, music and televion for the worlds problems? i mean c'mon when someone is stabbed you don't blame the knife for crying out loud, you blame the person who did it! just because someone gets addicted to something to the point of insanity it does not mean that every one who likes it is going to be like that! what are your thoughts on this subject?

- This is like blaming Counter-Strike for the gunman from VT's actions... Totally stupid, but I still think getting addicted to WoW ruins your life.
- It's just Yahoo trying to sensationalize something to attract people to read the article. If the person is choosing WoW over his marriage, then he must not be happy in the marriage. Video games are going to be blamed for everything. It's already been blamed in school shootings, even though the shooter was mental insane in the first place. Now it's being blamed for divorces. What's next? The war in Iraq? Is video games going to be blamed if the government doesn't succeed in shooting down the satellite that's going to come back down to earth? Is video games going to get the blame because the people responsible for shooting down the satellite misses because they didn't play Missile Command when they were little kids?

- Honestly I would love for my husband to be addicted to video games then to another woman (just saying). because at least I would know he was at home, and not with her or at a bar drinking and he would leave me alone and not fuss at me (at the game yes). I could work around the house and do my own thing without him being under my feet all the time. Just as long as he did not put the games above his work. Here is a star thanks for the one you gave me.
- You need to chill. All they're saying is that his addiction to this game caused them to divorce, also they did build the game NEVER to end! That does set people with little self control up for disaster.
